ALT-BLACK

Past limitations and beyond expectation rises ALT-BLACK, a celebration of an alternative black culture. In partnership with Soho Rep, The Movement Theatre Company will produce this FEED Series event. Inspired by genres as varied as horror, westerns, science-fiction, revenge drama and afro-futurism, playwrights, performance artists and musicians will showcase work that challenges the margins of "blackness". From mosh pits to spaceships, the wild west to the West Wing, blackness belongs any and everywhere, so we'll rock all the way  to the celestial outer limits with fists up, lassos ready and tongues out.
